Steve Wood's Story

When I decided to become a driving instructor I was in the LGV industry driving lorry’s for a living but always wanted a little bit more so I decided to take the leap and begin my training.

I started to do research into the whole process and quickly applied and passed my part 1 test with great marks first attempt after studying my ass off. I was then contacting some local instructors to begin my part 2 driving ability test and most of them recommended the same guy and company which of course was Davidson at Catz-i.com, so I contacted him and set up a meeting.

Davidson explained all the process from beginning to end and what is required to become an Instructor and I gained a lot of information from that one meeting. Shortly after I started Part 2 (Advanced Driver Training) and after a few hours training with Davidson getting rid of some bad habits from driving lorry's for years, I passed first attempt no problem at all and with Davidson's guidance.

Straight onto part 3 instructor training and to start with is a little weird being in the passenger seat teaching someone who has been driving for 25 years and doing role play but after the expert guidance from Davidson and sticking in with my sessions every week and listening to all the positive feedback and his methods on the best practice for teaching learners to drive a car and stay as safe as possible at all time I finally passed my part 3 test and became a fully qualified driving instructor and got offered a permanent position with Catz-i.com and I'm now the South East Scotland Director and I couldn't have done it without the knowledge and guidance of Davidson and wouldn't have wanted to do my training with anyone else.

Becoming an instructor gives me so many roads I can go down with teaching from learner drivers to LGV Training and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for us all at Catz-I.com.
